It is a common knowledge that pet cemeteries have appeared not so long ago in the rich European countries.
Nevertheless animals, especially dogs were buried in special cemeteries even before the resent times. The largest dog cemetery dated back to V A.C. included about 700 tombs. It was found in the South of Israel close to the place Ashkelon that was founded in XVIII century. Also there were dog cemeteries in Ancient Greece and Egyptians even mummified their favorite pets after their death.
Talking about pet cemeteries we can remember the famous scary movie of Stephen King “Pet Sematary”. We can see that in the word “sematary” three mistakes were made (sematary). Didn’t the author know the spelling of this word?) No, these mistakes were made deliberately. The author wanted to underline childish illiteracy because this tablet was written by kids.
The final Curious © phrase:
“Barking dogs seldom bite”
